NASA is taking applications until February 18th to find its new class of astronauts. This might lead you to ask yourself, could I do the job? Besides the boring list of medical and educational requirements listed on the website, there is actually a test that can see how you would function on a spacewalk. This tests whether you would be able to fulfill the operational duties required of an astronaut with the disorientation of being in space. This test isn’t provided by NASA though; it is something that was developed by ESA and nlr (although ESA isn’t hiring) to get the most suitable candidates in the future. The great thing is they have released the test to the public for us to be their guniea pigs to try it out.
